The Chevy Volt 2012

One of the most popular base hatchbacks for this year is the Chevy Volt 2012. On the other hand, it is the most expensive hatchback in the market today compared to its near competitors like the Toyota Prius and the Hyundai Sonata.  One of the major highlights of the new Chevy Volt is the electric drive unit of 149 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The on-board generator or engine of this new model runs 1.4 liters internal combustion with 83 horsepower engine. However, this unique engine requires a premium fuel. The brake system features an antilock 4 wheels and a disc power system that’s electro-hydraulic. Chevy Volt has an electronic stability control system, which includes regenerative system particularly on the front brakes, a traction control, and a brake assist functions. It also features a tire pressure monitor and a 17 inches five spokes wheels painted with forged aluminum.
The power outlets features 3 separate auxiliary twelve volts that are located in the upper instrument panel storage bin, another one at the back console, and the last would be at the front center console. The Chevy Volt 2012 has power adjustable mirrors that have integrated turn signal indicators and body-color mirrors.  The touch-sensitive center controls are composed of LCD diagonal touch screen, as well as the driver mode control switch. You can also enjoy different commercial-free channels with several programming with a technology called the SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Buyers can get a 3-month trial of the free channels via SiriusXM, plus the XM NavTraffic standard system. It has a hands-free calling feature with its built-in Bluetooth wireless technology that is compatible for particular mobile devices. It has a color touch radio with MP3/CD playback feature and audio system with navigation. It is capable of DVD playback, RDS or radio data system, timeshift function, and voice recognition. The hard drive is up to 30GB worth of data storage. The new Chevy hatchback has several air bags with passenger sensing system. The heated seats have a selectable automatic activation on both the front passenger and driver seats. The door trim are made up of premium with layered graphics. It has a passive lock and unlock feature on all doors called the keyless access. The Chevy Volt 2012 features a pedestrian friendly alert, a remote vehicle starter system, and a park assist package. Other built-in features of the Chevy Volt include Cruise control, 6 speakers system, BPEESS (Bose premium energy efficient speaker system) with subwoofer, and premium seat clothing as well.
